Frank Richard O’Hearn, a 31-year resident of Colville, passed away on July 29, 2011 in Colville at the age of 65. He was born on July 10, 1946 in Clifton Springs, New York the son of Perry F. and Isabell M. (Wyffels) O’Hearn. Frank was raised Canandaigua, NY and attended school in Rushville, NY and at Middlesex Valley Central School. He joined the United States Navy in 1963 and served 3 tours in Vietnam before his honorable discharge in 1967. Frank then joined the Navy again in 1970 and served until 1976 when he was again honorably discharged. During his time in the service, he met Estelita “Lita” Tabunan, a beautiful lady from the Philippines, and in 1976 brought her to the United States. They were married in Tangent, OR on November 5, 1976. They moved to Colville in 1980 and Frank worked for Northwest Alloys on the Quarry Team until his retirement in 2004. Frank loved spending time outdoors, whether he was hunting or spending time in his garden. He also loved restoring and drag racing old cars. He especially loved cruising the area in his bright orange 1939 Plymouth Coupe. Frank will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Frank is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lita O’Hearn at the home, his daughters Liza Flores and husband Alvin of Post Falls, ID and Christine O’Hearn and Jason Fox of Exeter, CA, his step-son Chester Tinacba and wife Lyka of Germany, his grandchildren Nicholas Flores, Ryan Flores, Conor Sanders, Ethan Sanders, Chesca Tinacba and Chelsy Tinacba, his siblings Jane Agron and husband Wilson of East Rochester, NY, Linda Hoppel and husband Dana of DeLand, FL, Carol Jackson and husband David of Kelso, WA, Danny O’Hearn of Corvallis, OR, Sandy Lange and husband Dan of San Carlos, Mexico, Will O’Hearn and wife Brooke of Arlie, OR and Richard O’Hearn and wife Traci of Monroe, WA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Frank O’Hearn was held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 5 at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville. The graveside service will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville.
