Gladys Walston

Gladys P. Walston, age 93, passed away on June 30, 2012 in Colville. She was born the daughter of Wallace and Grace (Hut¬ton) Elder on Feb. 17, 1919 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and went to high school in Tacoma. WA
Gladys married Frank Walston on July 2, 1950 in Colville. They had one daughter, Carol Leithead.
She preceded Gladys in death in 2011.
In her spare time, Gladys enjoyed playing music, danc¬ing, quilting, volunteer work, and most of all, spending time with her family. She was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Gladys is survived by her son-in-law, Ken Leithead, Colville; her grandchildren Julie Cammack, Shelton; Barbara Anderson, Olympia; Alan Rodgers, Olympia; Sam Leithead, Colville; and by her great-grandchil¬dren and numerous extended family and friends.
A memorial service for Gladys was held July 5 at the Colville Community Church.
