Glenn Shimmin

Glenn Clayton Shimmin passed away on July 26, 2012 at the age of 47. He was born the son of Jack and Doris (Dupree) Shimmin on Jan. 27, 1965 in San Mateo, California.
Glenn was a truly fine man; he treasured and was treasured by all of his family and friends. He died doing what he loved, restoring old cars and helping beloved community members. Glenn was a very loved, respected, and cherished member of his family and town. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Kim; daughter, Crystal Shimmin; son, Jesse Shimmin; brother, Gregg Shimmin; sister, Berit Shimmin; father, Jack Shimmin; mother, Doris Riddle, and grandmother, Bernadine Shimmin at the age of 102.
A celebration of life, car show and potluck for Glenn will be held at the Shimmin family home, 561 Garvey Road, Colville, on August 10 at 1 p.m.
All whose lives were touched by Glenn are welcome to attend. Bring your old car and join the family in celebrating his life.
