High Tea in Marcus

Boulder Creek Saddle Shop in Kettle Falls and Barn to Beautiful, LLC in Marcus are teaming up to offer a unique family friendly experience on May 21.

The “Marcus Queen’s High Tea” will be a fundraising event to raise money for “Wheels For Emily.” It will be held in the newly refurbished Bonnie’s Chapel at 202 Winesap Avenue, Marcus, which will be temporarily re-christened “The Queen’s Castle.”

Moms, daughters, grandmothers and granddaughters, or anyone else, will enjoy tea and snacks served in the manner of Victorian era elegance while the castle’s butler provides an educational oration on the history and etiquette of English “teas.”

Gift items will be available for silent auction to help raise funds for Wheels for Emily. There will also be a contest to determine the best Victorian era tea outfit. The winner of the costume contest will be crowned “Marcus High Tea Queen (or King).”

Only 60 seats will be available for this afternoon extravaganza. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at Boulder Creek Saddle Shop in Kettle Falls. For more information, call Pamela or Lisa at 738-2511.
