James "Jim" Arthur Tremblay passed away on Feb. 13, 2014 in Spokane at the age of 53. He was born on July 27, 1960 in North Bend, OR, the son of William Clovis and Betty Lou (Koontz) Tremblay.At age seven, Jim moved with his family to Kettle Falls. Fol¬lowing high school in Kettle Falls, he started a family while working in some of the local lumber mills, including Boise and Vaagen Lumber. Jim's free spirit led him to reside and work in a succession of cities, including dietary porter in Lancaster, OH, home construction in Austin, TX, dietary service in Medford, OR, marina maintenance and steel fabrication in Portland, OR, and back to Kettle Falls, where he found his niche in owning a home construction business that later specialized in building log homes. Once back in Kettle Falls, Jim married Nikki Webley and to¬gether they continued raising a family. The log home work op¬portunities led them to jobs around Stevens County, Multno¬mah County Oregon, Clark and Spokane counties. He eventu¬ally landed in Suncrest.The onset of Parkinson’s Disease required Jim to begin an early retirement. In retirement, he enjoyed even more irreplace¬able time with Nikki and their children.A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. and will be followed by a re¬ception on Feb. 28 at the Stevens County Agriculture & Trade Center in Colville. He tended to live life on the lighter side, always seeking the fun part of any situation. Jim loved his family and gave them many wonderful memories with his unique character and adventurous spirit.Jim's surviving immediate family includes his wife, Nikki and their children: Luke, Camryn, and Chelsea; grown children, Kory with her husband Dominic Fugazzi, and Kigen with his wife Carissa; grandchildren, Aaron Fugazzi, Aubreyanna Fu¬gazzi, Brayden Tremblay; parents: Bill and Betty Tremblay; sib¬lings: Debbie Wiks and Chuck Tremblay.The Danekas Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
