Jay Pratt

Jay Edward Pratt was born July 12, 1979 and passed away May 1, 2014 at the age of 34.
Jay lived in the Kettle Falls area his whole life. He completed his education in Kettle Falls. He played all school sports, but most of all, he loved baseball. Jay later grew to love hunting and fishing and embraced that as his passion.
He loved to take his sons horn hunting. Jay would take the horns and hide them so the boys could find them again.
Jay worked at Hearth and Home and at Vaagen Brothers Lumber.
Jay's major passion was cutting firewood and his sons. He was so proud of his sons and was very involved with their school and sports activities.
Jay is survived by his wife, Lacey; two sons, Tagen and Rowdy, Colville; his parents, John (PeeWee) and Billie Jo Pratt, longtime residents of Kettle Falls; one brother, Jimmy Pratt and wife Morgan, and one niece, Caitlynn; in-laws, Doug and Shauna Connelly of Colville; his grandmother, Vicki; sister-in-law, Tara, and brother-in-law Jacob, plus many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jay will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
The family will hold a memorial at Happy Dell Park Saturday, May 10, 3 to 6 p.m. (potluck).
