Jeannette I. Jones, 57, a nine-year resident of Kettle Falls, passed away Oct. 15, 2012 in Colville. Jeannette was born on March 19, 1955, in Hollywood, Florida, the daughter of Joseph and Valentine (Smatsky) Kuneman.
Jeannette graduated from Kent University in 1978 with a Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Fine Arts. She began teaching in StreetsÂ¬boro, OH where she taught kindergarten through twelfth grade and was also involved in teaching 4-H.
Over the course of time, Jeannette took an interest in the medical field and after completing her schooling, she became a registered nurse. She began her nursing career in Colorado in 1986 and later practiced in Kansas.
In 1986, she married Terence Jones on Valentines Day in Banff, British Columbia. While in B. C., Jeannette taught at a Catholic school in Calgary. In 2004 she and Terry moved to Washington and started ranching along the Columbia River.
Jeannette loved cattle ranching and working outdoors, whether it was working in the fields, baling hay or riding horses. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Jones.
At this time, in honor of the familyâ€™s wishes, there is no fuÂ¬neral service scheduled.
