Jerry Coffey

Gerald Gene “Jerry” Coffey passed away Jan. 27, 2013 in Spokane at the age of 77. Jerry was born on May 29, 1935 in Tuolumne, CA to Gerald and Ruth (Sorenson) Coffey.
Jerry lived in Minnesota and Iowa before moving to Colville in 1947 with his mother and stepfather, Perry Bockness. He graduated from Colville High School in 1953 and served in the Colville National Guard. Jerry married Sharon Wilson ion 1956 and together they had a busy family life raising their four daughters.
Jerry was a long-time employee of Colville Safeway before moving to Spokane where he worked for Becker Buick and spent his retirement years. He was a car enthusiast all his life and also was a talented woodworker.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Sherryl Pringle and husband William; Elizabeth Koszczewski and hus¬band Dan; Susan Valli and husband Charles; Mary Williamson and husband Jeff; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Coffey; sister, Patricia Coffey; mother-in-law, Mil¬dred Wilson; brothers-in-law, David Wilson and wife Lucy; Ste¬ven Wilson and wife Peggy.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Sienko and the staff at Cancer Care Northwest, Holy Family Hospital and Manor Care for the care and concern given to Jerry during his illness.
A memorial service for Jerry will be held at a later date.
