John Haynes

December 15, 2011

John Raymond Haynes, age 99, for many years of the Inchelium area, passed away on Nov. 22, 2011 on to his heavenly reward.
John was the son of Thomas and Etta Haynes and was born in Laurel, Oregon. He had one sister and five brothers, all who preceded him in death.
John worked in the lumber industry for many years, a good share of the time as a saw filer.
He moved to Inchelium, starting the Chapel of the Pines, which he was pastor for about 18 years, along with his wife, Gladys, who preceded him in death in 1998.
John was district court judge in the Inchelium area for a period of time and many people of the area still refer to him as judge.
Before moving to live with his son and wife in 2009, John was still actively involved in recycling cans and scrap metal, something he did for many years.
If it would have been possible John would have liked nothing better than to have driven his 1927 model T Ford into heaven and taken his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for a ride.
John is survived by his son, Les and wife Evelene; his daughter, Rowena and husband Earl; along with many grand-great-great-great-grand kids and family.
A memorial is planned at Inchelium sometime in the summer.
