John Tweedy

John Eugene Tweedy, 84, passed away on Nov. 16, 2012 at his home in Kettle Falls. John was born on May 19, 1928 in Kooskia, Idaho to Eugene and Bertha (Godwin) Tweedy.
John worked as a diesel mechanic for 30 years, for several different companies in the Colville and Kettle Falls areas. He was also a campground host at the Evans Campground for nearly 20 years.
John was an outdoorsy guy. He spent many hours fishing and camping. He also loved his community very much. He made many baby gifts for all the babies born in the neighborÂŹhood. John left a wonderful family and many friends with lots of priceless memories and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene, in 2008; son, Kenneth Tweedy, and grandson, Kody Joe Tweedy.
John is survived by his sons, David Tweedy and wife, Nancy, Wenatchee; Charles “Chuck” Tweedy, Evans; Wayne Tweedy and wife, Debra, Kettle Falls; daughter, Valery Mazzella, Colville; and many grand and great-grandchildren.
At this time, in honor of John’s request, there is no funeral service scheduled.
