Julia Braucher

February 19, 2013

On Jan. 25, 2013, our beloved mother, grandmother, and matriarch, Julia (Judi) Marie Braucher, passed into Our Lord’s loving arms at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends.
Judi was born on Nov. 4, 1939 to Leigh and Ella Deaver, in Pasco. She attended Daisy School, which was consolidated and renamed Evergreen by her after she won a contest to rename the school. She attended high school at Kettle Falls High School, and afterwards, marrying her high school sweetheart, Robert Harrington, with whom she had eight children and who preceded her in death.
She later remarried to John Braucher, who also passed before her. She later had a long-term companionship with Gary Henderson, who passed in 2001.
Also preceding her in death are her parents; a brother, Leonard; sister, Valeria; sister and best-friend, Joyce Lehman; and her grandson, Shawn.
Judi was a devoted mother, wife and sister. She enjoyed quilting, having family get-togethers, annual reunions, and helping others. Her kindness, heart, and incredible sense of humor will be greatly missed. She was loved by all who knew her.
Surviving her are her sisters, Wauneta Hofstetter and Donna Howell; her eight children, Craig, Renea, Wade, Robert (Robbie), Ronda, Lisa, Chad, and Cory; 26 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, as well as innumerable other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff on the eighth floor of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and the Comfort Team for being so accommodating, caring, helpful, and understanding to the large number of family and friends who came in and out of the hospital during Judi’s last visit. They went above and beyond to make sure mom’s final wishes were fulfilled and her last moments comfortable.
A memorial service will be held on Feb. 23, 1 p.m., at the Assembly of God Church in Kettle Falls. Officiating will be Pastor Laroux Maier. A potluck and celebration of Judi’s life will follow the service.
