Julie Lynn Entwistle, age 53, passed away on Nov. 25, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 18, 1960, the daughter of Arnie and Liz (Warner) Bocker, in Bellevue.
In 1966, the family relocated from Bellevue to Addy and bought a farm.
Julie loved life on the farm and described her child¬hood as ideal. She loved to be around all of the animals on the farm and participate in farm chores. Julie kept busy in 4-H and en¬joyed showing horses, which she was very successful at. At the age of 18, Julie moved to Spokane to attend college and re¬ceived her nursing degree. She enjoyed a 30-year career at Pinewood Terrace Nursing Home and took care of the elderly with kindness and compassion.
Julie was often referred to by families she worked with at Pinewood as their “Special Nurse”.
Julie met Jon Dee Entwistle in November, 1979 at a Barstow dance. They quickly fell in love and married just over two months later on Feb. 2, 1980. Julie gave birth to her daughter, Jamie Lynn Entwistle, 10 months later on Dec. 23, 1980. Tandy Jean Entwistle was born five years later on Jan. 4, 1986.
Jon and Julie were blessed with 33 years of happy marriage. Julie enjoyed raising her kids and always said it went by too fast. She would brag to whoever would listen about her daughters. Julie was very supportive of her family and would regularly tell her children how proud of them she was; they were truly loved.
Julie’s passions included her family, her cat Racer, hiking, camping, biking, yard work, caring for the elderly, and above all, her grandchildren. She spent every day with her grandchil¬dren, Taylor and Chase, and enjoyed nothing more than sitting in the backyard watching them show off for her. Julie was witty and had a great sense of humor. She was a kind and generous person and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Julie was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Liz Bocker; brother Scott Bocker, and her mother-in-law, Jackie Hallam. She is survived by her husband, Jon Entwistle; daughters Jamie Straub and husband Matt; “her son”, Tandy Entwistle; step-son, Jason Entwistle; father Arnie Bocker; sister Val Peterson; step-brothers, Karl and Mike Shoemaker; father-in-law, Jeep Entwistle, and wife Peggy; grandchildren, Taylor Mae and Chase T. Straub.
