Kids, make way for the old-timers

August 29, 2011

One of the hottest days of a belated summer greeted youngsters from barely walking to age 18 recently at the Arden Old-Timers Kids’ Day in the Arden arena. Youngsters competed in events that included pole bending, mutton bustin’, goat tail tying and goat tail pulling and calf riding. The popular event is sponsored by the Arden Old-Timers Rodeo Association. The annual Arden Old-Timers Rodeo, usually held each May, will be staged at the Arden Old-Timers Rodeo Arena on Saturday, Sept. 17.
