Kimberly “Kim” Hope Rosen, a 26-year resident of Colville, passed away on May 30, 2011 in Colville at the age of 51. She was born on March 26, 1960 in Arlington to Ralph William and Mona Lou (Thomas) Burke.
Kim was very kind and always enjoyed helping those who were in need, even giving the shirt off her back or last penny to help someone else. She was always willing to open her home to those in need. Kim loved spending time outdoors camping, fishing and swimming. She spent numerous hours floating the Kettle River in the summer. Kim had a Green Thumb and loved keeping a garden and growing household plants. She loved all kinds of animals. Kim’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She loved Sunday dinner and barbecues with her family and friends. Kim’s grandchildren always brightened her day and made her smile.
Kim was preceded in death by her father Ralph Burke, her step-father Rex Harris and her brother Rick Burke.
She is survived by her daughter, Janelle Buckley and husband Brad, Colville; her sons, Jason Donner and wife Bernadette, Savannah, GA; David Donner and wife Amber, Colville; and Kevin Donner of Spokane; her mother, Mona Burke, Marysville; her siblings, Sue Murray, Tammy Tanner, Steve Burke, Doug Williams and Randy Burke, and her eight grandchildren, Skyler Donner, Jessica Lane, Aaron Buckley, Rebecca “Rowboat” Lane, Dalton Donner, Andrew Buckley, Daylene “Lee Lee Bug” Donner and Aden “Captain Hook” Buckley.
The family of Kimberly Rosen would like all family and friends to share in a celebration of her life by inviting you to a "potluck" at the Colville city Park on Sunday, July 24th at 1 p.m. This will be a time to share and remember times in her life. There will be memory boards and a guestbook to sign and share stories about her life. Main dishes will be provided, please feel free to bring a side dish to accompany.
