Larch Harris

July 10, 2013

Larch Floyd Harris, 45, died, June 23, 2013 in Colville. He was born on March 7, 1969 to Karen Joanne Harris and Floyd Richard Harris. He graduated from Colville High School, where he participated in football, wrestling and track and field.
After high school, Larch attended Wyoming Auto Mechanic Trade School. His work career took him many paths, including mechanic, paving, construction and truck driving. His family labeled him a “jack of all trades”.
Right out of high school, Larch headed to Alaska, where he fished during the summers and worked on the Valdez oil spill. It was in these years he married Belinda Fossum. They had one child and fostered a second. After their divorce, he later married Jamie Ann Lacey. They had three children.
Larch is survived by his wife, Jamie and children; two sons, Thomas Huckleberry Harris, 22 and Cruz Floyd Harris, 5; two daughters, Marina Chambers, 20 and Addy Ann Harris, 10; his mother, Karen Bell and her husband Erwin; sister, Dawn Marie Novak and her husband Bill; and their three sons, Keenan, Taten and Gabriel Novak; brother Eric Harris; his daughters, Erica Harris Dison and husband Jeremy, and Mariah Harris; maternal grandmother, Elsie Floener and paternal grandmother, Helen Carson, along with a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Riley Jane Harris, and by his father Floyd Richard Harris.
Larch loved to “go”, always on the road, doing something or visiting someone! Whenever he was in a friend’s or family-member’s town or state, he was sure to stop by for a visit and a story or two. He was always good to check in on his grandma Helen and his father. Larch will always be remembered for his genuine appreciation and concern for others, especially his love for his children.
A small family Rosary Service for Larch Floyd Harris was held on June 28, at Danekas Funeral Home in Colville.
