Paddling along Lake Roosevelt.

Kettle Falls elementary school students were recently treated to a short trip on Lake Roosevelt via canoe provided by Voyages of Rediscovery. A river-based environmental education program, Voyages of Rediscovery has been creating dugout canoes at the Kettle Falls Historical Center from donated cedar logs. Students came to the center on a field trip to learn how the canoes are made my hand and about the history and heritage of the Columbia River. To learn more, go to
