Marion Harris

Marion Wayne Harris, a resident of Columbus, OH, passed away on March 19, 2014 in Colville at the age of 65. Wayne was born on March 20, 1948, the son of Lewis Reevs and June Marie (Harvey) Harris in Louisville, KY.
Wayne was a raised in Englewood, CO, where he attended school and graduated from Englewood High School in 1966. Wayne then married his childhood sweetheart and together they raised a family. Wayne and Linda’s lives eventually took sepa¬rates paths, but they continued a lifelong friendship.
Wayne worked for several years at the Gates Rubber Co. before attending college at Colorado Aero Tech. He worked for both American Airlines and American Eagle Airlines. During his 24-year career as an aircraft technician and crew chief, Wayne fol¬lowed work opportunities to Miami, FL, Nashville, TN, and Co¬lumbus, OH.
After falling ill with brain cancer, he moved to Colville to be closer to his family.
Wayne had a passion for his work and believed in a solid 16-hour workday. He enjoyed fishing with his children and encour¬aged them to always continue their education. He also appreci¬ated the uniqueness of coins and their history.
Wayne is survived by his children, Steven Harris, Colville; An¬gelia Harris, Colville; Rebecca Wilson, Colville; Patricia Black, Salt Lake City, UT; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Parker, Pat McDonald and Iris Harris; three brothers, Charlie, Gerald and Walter Harris and their families.
The funeral service for Marion was held in Littleton, CO with a graveside following at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Littleton.
Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory was entrusted with the arrangements.
