Michael Warren

February 27, 2012

One thing that everyone who knew him can agree, Michael Lynn Warren had a smile and a good word for everyone. He was taken by his God on Feb. 25, 2012.
Born in Phoenix, AZ on Sept. 5, 1953 to a preacher and a homemaker, he lived in many states before settling in Manteca, CA, where he attended Manteca High.
Taking a job at Spreckles Sugar Beet Company after graduating, he met and married Brenda Hardesty. Shortly after, they moved north with Brenda's three children, and bought property north of Springdale, where, with the help of his brother, Steve, he built a home for his new family. After trying various jobs, Mike found a second home at Vaagen Brother's Lumber, where he continued to work until present.
Mike loved the outdoors. He was an avid skier, golfer, and accomplished motorcyclist. He was very active in the Sons of the American Legion, an organization within the American Legion in Chewelah.  He cooked many meals for fund-raisers and always volunteered for any extra duty that needed doing. But best of all, he loved his church, Clayton Community Church, where he sang solos, became an elder, and did many things to help out the church people and the community.
Mike is survived by his son, Nathan, and daughter Marca; step-children, Jamie, Richie and Dale Hardesty; his brothers, Steve, Clint, and Keith; his sister, Lynette; his father, Ross Warren; mother, Doris Warren, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will will remember him always for the love and support he couldn't help but contribute to anyone he met.
A memorial service will be held at the Crossroads Church in Valley on March 3 at 2 p.m. for those loved ones who wish to see him off in style.
