Neal Graeber

Neal A. Graeber, 69, passed away on August 15, 2011. He was born in Colville on June 8, 1942 to Albert and Shirley Graeber.
As a child, he lived in Laurier, attending eight years of school in Orient and four years of school in Kettle Falls. In 1960, Neal enrolled in a welding course at Spokane Community College and also pursued an engineering drafting degree, going to school at nights for four years before finishing.
Neal worked at Carlson Sheet Metal for 14 years, and also became the business representative for Local 212 (Local 66) until his retirement in 1999.
Neal had a great love for family. He also enjoyed spending as much time as he could outdoors in Laurier, whether it was camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling or four-wheeling.
Neal is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marjorie Graeber, Spokane; daughter, Kim Waterbury (Brad), Sandpoint, ID; son, Jeff Graeber (Michele), Spokane; grandchildren, Josh and Megan; step-mother, Hazel Graeber, Spokane; sister, Anne Gillis, Anchorage, AK; brothers, Roy Graeber, Laurier; and Dale Graeber, Kettle Falls.
Neal was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Graeber.
Funeral service for Mr. Graeber were held at Danekas Funeral Chapel on August 20, followed by a graveside committal at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.
Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory was entrusted with the arrangements.
