Orville McKee

Orville McKee was born on Oct. 30, 1916 in Colville to Char¬les and Emma McKee. He passed away on Jan. 14, 2012 in Se¬attle.
Orville was raised on a farm in Colville, at the foot of Old Dominion Mountain. He graduated from Colville High School in 1937 and came to Seattle in 1941 to work for The Boeing Com¬pany, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Aero Mechanics District Lodge 751 Retirement club.
He married Esther on March 21, 1945 and together they raised their family in West Seattle. Orv was a devoted family man, an avid vegetable gardener and a big fan of the Mariners. He loved a lively game of Pinochle, enjoyed trips to local casinos with the retirement club and loved anything to do with aviation. In his younger days, he enjoyed riding his motorcycles, flying his PT-19 and hunting and fishing in the great outdoors.
He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Emma McKee; brothers, Lloyd and Floyd McKee and sister Doris Dittner.
He is survived by his wife Esther; daughter Linda Tufts (Jim); daughter Lila Moses (Chuck); son Tim McKee; daughter Laurel Berry (Rick); grandchildren Mike Tufts (Emily), Jessica Pitsch (Jason), Matt McKee, Rachael Vaughn (Khris), Lillie Moses, and great-grandchildren Aiden and Alice Vaughn. He is also sur¬vived by many loved nieces and nephews.
