Pamela â€śPamâ€ť Sue Maine of Colville, passed away on Sept. 16, 2011 in Spokane at the age of 63. Pam was born on July 14, 1948 in Seattle, the daughter of Alonzo Percival and Catherine Scott.
Pam was raised and attended school in Shoreline, where she graduated in 1965. She later moved to Northport with her husband, Patrick Anderson. While in Northport, Pam received her EMT certification and volunteered her time with the Stevens County Ambulance. She also owned and operated the General Mercantile in Northport. In 1986, Pam moved to Paramount, CA. She resided there for three years and worked for a mail distribution company. Pam returned to Western Washington in 1989 where she met Gary Maine, and they were married in 1997. They made the Seattle area their home for several years. In 2009, Pam moved to Colville to share time with her close friend, Cookie Hill.
Pam was an avid coffee connoisseur and loved to spend her time visiting with friends and shopping on QVC. She and her close friends took many trips to the casinos to temp Lady Luck and enjoy each otherâ€™s company. She had a knack for spoiling her grandsons and her faithful friend, â€śTia,â€ť her dog. Pamâ€™s spunky character was complimented with her strong will and kind heart. She was a pillar of strength for her family.
Pam was preceded in death by her son, Richard Anderson, in 1993 and by her husband, Gary Maine.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Kristy Prater and her husband, Johnny, Arlington; two grandsons, James and Hunter Prater, both of Arlington
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
A family gathering will be held in her memory.
