Robert “Bob” Mike Gregory

November 2, 2011

Robert “Bob” Mike Gregory, a lifetime resident of Marcus and Evans, passed away on October 25, 2011 in Colville at the age of 92. He was born on June 1, 1919 in Marcus.
Bob was raised and attended school in Marcus. He graduated from Marcus High School in 1936. In 1937 he moved to his farm in Evans, where he resided until his passing. Bob worked in several area mines, including Metaline and Chewelah. He also worked in many sawmills and retired in 1982 as the head sawyer at Plum Creek in Arden.
Bob also loved working on his farm and caring for his animals. Bob had a soft spot for animals, and loved having cows on the farm and caring for them like family. After his retirement, there was not a day he was not out with the cows or on a tractor doing what he loved. He loved walking his dog, Tandy, and waving to the passing neighbors. Bob was always friendly, and enjoyed visiting with anyone who stopped by.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; by his sisters, Lena and Emma; by his brothers, Joe and George, and by two infant siblings.
He is survived by his son, Ernie Gregory and wife Jan, Evans; his grandson, Jeremy Gregory and fiancée, Sarah Ables; his grand-daughter, Carrie Dean; his great-grand-daughters, Shania, Taunie, Bethann, Morgan and Audrey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friend and companion, Tandy.
At Bob’s request, there will be no memorial service.
The Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Colville has been entrusted with arrangements.
