Robert Weilep

Robert A. Weilep (Bob) passed away Saturday, Dec.21 2013. Bob was born on Dec. 1, 1934 to Robert L. and Margert (Ross) Weilep. He was a life-long resident of Stevens County.
After graduating from Northport High School in 1953, Bob followed his dream to play profession baseball and signed a contract with the St. Louis Browns. Bob’s career ended early with an arm injury. He returned to Northport and married Au¬drey Sell. Northport is where they raised their family while Robert worked in law enforcement. That became his new ca¬reer. His law enforcement career started with the Northport City Police Department, then with the Stevens County Sheriff’s Department until his retirement.
Bob is survived by one brother, Bill Weilep and his wife, Jane, and their three children; his four sons, Ed Weilep and his wife, Mary; Rod Weilep and his wife, Tammy; Guy Weilep and his wife, Twilia; Rex Weilep, along with seven grandchil¬dren, Brianne Sphuler, Lyle Weilep, Austin Weilep, Tyler Weilep, Whitney Weilep, Dawson Weilep and Jacob Weilep; five great grandchildren, Madison Sphuler, Chance Sphuler, Ella Sphuler, Rhylee Weilep and Peytyn Weilep and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
He will always be loved and missed by all.
