Ron Ballo

December 3, 2012

Ronald E. H. Ballo, 78, of Kettle Falls, passed away, Nov. 21, 2012 in Colville. Ron was born on August 17, 1934 in Spokane to Elmer and Madge (Ryan) Ballo.
Ron spent two years serving in the United States Army. After returning home, he received his Masters Degree at Gonzaga University and began a career as an art teacher in the Colville area. He retired with over 30 years of dedicated service.
Ron loved going with his family on vacations. Over the years, trips included the Yucatan, the Caribbean Islands and Dis¬neyland, to name a few. Ron made sure he found the wildest ride wherever they were at the time and even got to participate in a bullfight in Mexico. He also enjoyed getting off the beaten path and doing some of his own exploring. Ron spent many hours with his Lab dogs, making sure they were well taken care of. If there is one piece of advice that Ron has left with us, it is “Read A Book.”
He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Ron is survived by his wife, Linda Ballo, Kettle Falls; daughter, Marie Holst and husband, Mark, Colville; son, Larry Fitzgerald and Erica, Lethbridge, Alberta; grandchildren, Teresa, Kyle, Shawn, Alison and Megan; brothers, Denny Ballo and wife Julie, Sammamish; Gary Ballo and wife, Kris, Spokane, and numerous nieces and a nephew.
At this time, in honor of Ron’s wishes, there is no service scheduled.
Please visit the online memorial and sign the guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com.
