Ron Schuh takes over for Missy Bennett

September 5, 2013

Coach Ron Schuh works with his CHS volleyball team last Friday. At right is CHS senior Jessi Wittmeyer.

Veteran coach moves from Tri-Cities

Nearly one year after longtime Colville High volleyball coach Missy Bennett announced her resignation after arguably the most successful career ever turned in by a CHS coach, athletic director Kelly Carr named Ron Schuh of Kennewick to replace her.
The 54-year-old Schuh, who worked as a physical education teacher at Park Middle School in Kennewick prior to being named to succeed Bennett, is excited about the opportunity.
“I know what Missy Bennett has accomplished here,” Schuh said during a recent pre-season practice session. “Her program has been outstanding.
“I’m excited. I think the core here is really strong. The girls coming back know the system. My job is to watch, evaluate and adjust. Right now, I love what I see and I don’t plan to make many changes.
“Missy really developed a great program here.”
