Veteran coach moves from Tri-Cities
Nearly one year after longtime Colville High volleyball coach Missy Bennett announced her resignation after arguably the most successful career ever turned in by a CHS coach, athletic director Kelly Carr named Ron Schuh of Kennewick to replace her.
The 54-year-old Schuh, who worked as a physical education teacher at Park Middle School in Kennewick prior to being named to succeed Bennett, is excited about the opportunity.
â€śI know what Missy Bennett has accomplished here,â€ť Schuh said during a recent pre-season practice session. â€śHer program has been outstanding.
â€śIâ€™m excited. I think the core here is really strong. The girls coming back know the system. My job is to watch, evaluate and adjust. Right now, I love what I see and I donâ€™t plan to make many changes.
â€śMissy really developed a great program here.â€ť
