Sean Kristopher Kelly, a resident of Rice, passed away on Jan. 7, 2012 at the age of 40. Sean was born on July 26, 1971 in Bellevue, the son of Richard Harding and Liv Esther (Scolom) Kelly.
Sean had the opportunity to reside in many communities in Washington, California, New Mexico and Florida while growing up. He attended school in many facilities before graduating in the Seattle area. He began a family with the love of his life, Tanya. Sean later moved to Israel, where he attended college for three years.
In 2000, he moved to Rice to be near his family. While in Rice, he assisted with the family business â€śAnimal Adventureâ€ť. He provided care and shelter for the large Lions, Tigers and various other breeds of â€ścatâ€ť. He also designed and maintained the website and managed the property.
Sean loved his family and felt is was a great privilege to help them. He was wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. Sean had a great heart for animals and was a gifted lion handler.
He also loved spending lots of time with his wonderful dog â€ťBearâ€ť.
He is survived by his mother Liv Scolom, longtime friend Tanya Duran, son Nathan Duran, siblings Richard Kelly and wife Patrina, Linda Olson and husband George, Erik Kelly and wife Tracy, Steve Kelly and fiancĂ© Heather and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. January 16 at the Fairview Cemetery in Daisy.
