Senior Night for Cougars

The Jenkins High volleyball team dropped both matches last week.
On Tuesday, the Cougars (2-11, 0-10) lost to Medical Lake in four sets, 6-25, 10-25, 25-7 and 11-25. Kaitlin Krouse had a big day for the Cougars with seven kills and four digs. Megan Rowe had a game-high 18 assists and Jayden Rainer also had a game-high eight blocks.
Last Thursday, the Cougars traveled to Northeast A leading Freeman and fell in straight sets, 5-25, 7-25 and 17-25. Tenika Smith had 10 digs to lead the Cougars and Rowe once again led Chewelah with eight assists.
The Cougars will look to break their 11-match losing streak this week as the NEA regular season winds down. On Tuesday the Cougars will face the Newport Grizzlies (6-5, 5-5) at home on Senior Night for the Cougars.
On Thursday, Chewelah will finish the NEA regular season against the Riverside Rams (8-4, 6-4) at Chattaroy. Game time is at 6:30 p.m. for both matches.
