Stephen Krausse

Stephen R. Krausse (20), died unexpectedly on Feb. 23, 2012 at his residence in St. Maries, Idaho.
He was born June 6, 1991 in Olympia. He grew up in Colville and was a 12-year senior of Colville High School. He graduated in 2009. Stephen worked in food service at Arby’s, as well as a construction company in Colville.
He moved to St. Maries in April 2011, and started his new job at Stimson Lumber Company in the sawmill department. He was also training for a sawyer position. In January 2012, he started a new job with Inter-Mountain West Insulation, where he was currently employed.
Stephen is survived by his parents, Travis and Shawn Krausse, Colville; his brother, Shea Krausse and nephew, Braden Krausse, both of Colville; grandparents, Viola Krausse, Shelton, Rosanne Huitron, Deer Park; Joseph McCamish, Joshua Tree, CA; Tom Huitron, Spokane; and his great-grandmother, Susan McCamish-Wemple, Kelseyville, CA. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Glenn Krausse.
A celebration of his life will be held in Colville at the Fort Colville Grange (across from Colville High School) on Saturday, March 10 at 1 p.m. Also visit his online memorial and sign his guestbook at
