Toni Vanderhoof

April 2, 2012

Toni Gayle Vanderhoof left us to be with Jesus on March 19, 2012. She had put her life in God’s hands and let Him carry her in her final days of her battle with COPD. Toni was sur¬rounded by family and close friends as she left earth on her journey to heaven.
Toni was born on Dec. 19, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana to Stanley and Dorothy (Martin) Scearce. Her mother moved to Washington in 1969, bringing Toni with her. Toni moved to Utah in the 80’s.
While in Utah, she met the love of her life, Brett Vanderhoof. She married him Dec. 17, 1983. They lived a full and advenÂŹturous life in Utah and moved back to Northeast Washington in 1988 to be closer to her family. They often took trips to Utah and Idaho to visit family and friends there.
Toni loved hunting, fishing, picking huckleberries, quilting, making jewelry, homemade jams and jellies and her yummy huckleberry bounce.
Most of all, Toni loved being around her family and cherÂŹished every moment with them. Toni was able to make a trip back to Wisconsin to see her one full sibling, brother Gene Scearce, over the summer of 2011. Toni was a very loving, kind, gentle, and compassionate woman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an uncle, Lester Martin.
Toni is survived by her loving husband, Brett Vanderhoof, Colville; daughter Lisa Darley and grandson Connor, Colville; son Raymond (Mary) Schumacher, and their children, Junior, Tiffany, and Aine, Tenino; daughter Georgia (Reg) Davenport, and their children, Emily and Josie, Evans; stepdaughter HaiÂŹley Clark (T.J.) and their children, Ellie and Macie; grandÂŹdaughter Jessica (Joshua) Schroeder and son Ethan, Lakewood; grandson Jacob Darley and special friend, Kaleigh Schmidt.
Toni is also survived by her full brother, Gene Scearce, WI; half brother Keith Scearce, WI; half brothers and sisters, Mike Sceuer, Ieke Scearce, Cindy Green, Linda Scheuer, and Shirley of Indiana, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Toni will be greatly missed by an enormous extended family and many very good friends. Per Toni’s wishes, no service will be held.
Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory was entrusted with arrangements.
