Tuney Chapman

Holding his wife, Bess’, hand with many family members by his side, Tuney Chapman passed on May 14, 2012, in Spokane, Washington. Born at home on Dec. 9, 1932 in Colville, Washington, Tuney is survived by his sisters Irene, Sylvia, Sarah, Anna, Louise and brother William. Tuney grew up loving the land. He enjoyed outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing and camping. He graduated from Colville High in 1950 and served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Tuney was the proud father of seven children; Alahna, Mark, Valerie, Jonathan, Hal, Mike and Lindsey. He enjoyed spending every occasion with his 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Tuney was the rock in every
emergency and helped numerous children, foster children, nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered for his generous heart and quiet smile.
A celebration of Tuney’s life will be held on Sunday, May 27th at 2pm in the Colville Park with a potluck,
funny stories and happy memories.
