Stevens County Sheriff ‘s Department Deputies and EMTs responded to a vehicle fatality on Orin Rice Road last Sunday morning, according to Sheriff Kendle Allen.
Around 4:45 a.m., a passerby noticed a 2007 Dodge truck lying on its side near Wonch Road and called 911. First responders discovered the truck’s occupants, driver Ron Holland, 52, passenger Wade Holland, 35, and passenger Kasey Dallman, 32. Both Ron and Wade Holland, who were uncle and nephew, were declared dead at the scene.
Dallman was extracted from the vehicle by the Stevens County Rescue Team and was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane by MedStar.
On Monday, Allen said he did not know Dallman’s condition.
According to Allen, an investigation is currently underway, with assistance from the Washington State Patrol, to determine the cause of the incident.
“All we know is that for some reason, the driver was unable to negotiate a right turn, went off the road and hit a tree,” explained Allen.
A donation account for "The family of Wade Holland" is at KeyBank in Colville. Wade leaves behind his wife, Sincerray, and four children.
