Gracelynn Gennie Alexander was the winner of the Statesman-Examiner’s annual First Baby of the Year contest. The 20-inch long, six-pound, two-ounce baby girl was born Friday, Jan. 1 at 5:27 p.m. She is the first child to parents John Alexander Jr. and Virginia Sattler of Colville. Her maternal grandparents are Randy and Katherine Sattler of Republic and her paternal grandparents are John and Katherine Alexander of Curlew. Maternal great grandparents are Clifford and Virgina (deceased) Hack of Pasco and Marlow and Wilma Sattler of Webster, SD.
