1B tourney starts this week—
Kettle Falls will host games

It’s tournament time in the Panorama League this week.
The 1B boy’s tournament will start on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at the home of the higher seeded team.  
On Wednesday at home sites, the boys 1B tourney will get underway.
Northport (5-9, 6-11) will visit league champion Wellpinit (14-0, 17-2) at 6 p.m.
Also on Wednesday, Cusick 11-3, 15-5) will travel to Inchelium (10-4, 13-5) in another 6 p.m. game.
On Thursday, the girl’s 1B tournament gets underway.  In game no. 1, Curlew (7-8, 9-9) will travel to Wellpinit (6-8, 7-11) in another 6 p.m. game.
In game no. 2 on Thursday, Cusick (6-8, 7-11) will visit north champion Columbia (14-1, 17-3) at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, Feb. 6, the tournament will move to Kettle Falls High School and Middle School.
In boy’s game no. 3, North no. 3 will oppose St. Michael’s at noon in the high school gym.  The winner will be the no. 5 seed to District and the loser is out.
In girl’s game no. 3, North no. 3 will oppose St. Michael’s at 1:45 p.m. in the high school gym. The winner will be no. 5 to District and the loser will be out.
In boy’s game no. 4, the loser of game no. 1 will play the loser of game no. 2 at noon in the middle school gym.  The game’s winner will be no. 3 seeded to district and the loser will be the fourth seed to district.
In girl’s game no. 4, the loser of game no. 1 will oppose the loser of game no. 2 in the middle school gym at 1:45 p.m.  The winner is no. 3 to district and the loser is no. 4 seeded to district.
Boy’s game no. 5 will be the Panorama League championship at 3:30 p.m. in the middle school gym.  The winner will be no. 1 seeded to district and the loser will get the no. 2 seed.
At 5 p.m. in the middle school, the Panorama League girl’s championship will be contested.  The champion will get the automatic top seed from the Panorama to district and the loser will go as no. 2 seed.  
The District tournament against the Bi-County League will start on Tuesday, Feb. 9 with boy’s games.
In game no. 1, Panorama no. 1 will host Panorama no. 5 at 6 p.m.  In game no. 2, Bi-County no. 2 will host Panorama no. 3.  In game 3, the Bi-County league tournament champion will host Panorama no. 4 seed.  In game no. 4, Panorama no. 2 will host Bi-County no. 3.  All games are slated for 6 p.m. starts.
On Wednesday, Feb. 10, the girl’s district tournament will get underway at the home of the higher seeded teams.
In game no. 1, Panorama no. 1 will host Bi-County no. 5.  In game 2, Bi-County no. 2 will host Panorama no. 3.  Game 3 will pit Bi-County no. 1 against visiting Panorama no. 4.  Game 4 will feature Panorama no. 2 against visiting Bi-County no. 3.  All games will start at 6 p.m.
The tournament will continue on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Deer Park High School.
In boy’s loser-out game no. 5, the loser of district game no. 1 will oppose the loser of game no. 2 at 2 p.m.
At 3:45 p.m. in game no. 6, the district loser of game 3 will play the loser of game 4.
In game no. 7, the winner of game 1 will square off against the winner of game no. 2 at 2 p.m.
In boy’s game no. 8, the winner of game no. 3 will play the winner of game no. 4 at 3:45 p.m.
In girl’s district action on Feb. 13 at Deer Park, the loser of game no. 1 will play the loser of game no. 2 in the fifth game at 6 p.m.
In game no. 6, the loser of game no. 3 will oppose the loser of game no. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
In game no. 7, the winner of game no. 1 and the winner of game no. 2 will square off at 6 p.m., and in game no. 8, the winner of game no. 3 will play the winner of game no. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, Feb. 17 back at Deer Park, the winner of game no. 5 will square off against the loser of game no. 8 at 5 p.m. in boy’s game no. 9.
In game no. 10, the winner of game no. 6 will play the loser of game no. 7 at 5 p.m.
In girl’s district games at Deer Park on Feb. 17, the winner of game no. 5 will oppose the loser of game no. 8 at 6:45 p.m.  
In game no. 10 of the girl’s district tourney, the winner of game no. 6 will play the loser of game no. 7 at 6:45 p.m.
On Saturday, Feb. 20 back at Deer Park, boys game no. 11 will feature the game no. 9 winner vs. the game no. 10 winner at 12:30 p.m. and the winner of girl’s game no. 9 will play the winner of game no. 10 at 2:15 p.m.
In boy’s game no. 12 on Feb. 20, the winner of game no. 7 will play the winner of game no. 8 at 5 p.m. and the girl’s winner of game no. 7 will play the winner of no. 8 at 7 p.m.
The winner of game no. 12 will be the no. 1 seed to the state tournament.  The loser of game no. 12 will be the second seed.
The winner of game no. 11 will get the third and final seed to the state tournament.
The 1B state tournament will be held Feb. 24-27 at the SunDome in Yakima.
Panorama 2B tourney
The Panorama 2B League Tournament will run Feb. 5,6,9. Three teams will advance to district.
On Feb. 5, the Panorama boys will get underway, with North no. 2 at St. George’s (6 p.m.).  In game no. 2, Mary Walker (Springdale) will visit North no. 1.  
On Feb. 6, the girl’s tournament will get underway with Selkirk at South no. 1 and South no. 2 at Republic.  Both games will start at 6 p.m.
On Tuesday, Feb. 9, the 2B tournament will continue at Kettle Falls Middle School.
In boys games, the loser of game’s one and two will play at 3 p.m.. The winner is the third seed to district and the loser is out.
In girl’s action at Kettle Falls, the loser of game no. 1 will oppose the loser of game no. 2 at 4:30 p.m.  The winner will be the no. 3 seed to district and the loser is out.
The 2B boy’s championship game will be played at 6 p.m.  The girl’s game will start at 7:30 p.m.  
The 2B district tourney will be held between Feb. 15 and 27 at Mead and Mt. Spokane High Schools.  The top two teams will advance to the State 2B Tournament at the Spokane Veterans Arena March 3-6.

softball girls, you were the best coach we could have asked for. You built a huge
softball empire at KFHS and no will forget that. Thank you for all your hard work
and dedication to the program. I will never forget gut check, chop em, and the slip
