   Caesar Antoine was born on August 18, 1952 in Penticton BC to Lucy Antoine and Roy Thornton. He passed away May 5, near Ellensburg.
   Caesar lived in Curlew and graduated from high school there in 1970. He attended Spokane Community College and Eastern Washington State University.
   He worked for Somday Logging in Curlew. In 1973 he moved to Kettle Falls and went to work for Bob Haynes Logging.
   Caesar married Colleen Crowley on August 7, 1976 in Waldport, OR. They moved to Chewelah in 1977 and he began hauling logs for John Hansen. He loved logging and trucks, and by 1980 he purchased his own Peterbilt and began RC Antoine & Son Trucking. Caesar hauled logs, grain, equipment and anything he could find. Eventually, he added dump trucks and began grading and road repair work. He worked hard and enjoyed his work, and more importantly; the people he worked with.
   Caesar and Colleen have a son, Roy Joseph born April 13, 1979 and a daughter, Shandee Rachael born January 30, 1982.
   He is survived by his wife, Colleen; Roy and his fiancé Kazlynn Sty; Shandee and her husband Erick Moore. His mother Lucy Antoine, Curlew, sisters Sandy and her husband, Harry Anderson, Colville; Bonnie and her husband, Steve Goss, Curlew; Donna and her husband, Jim Maher, Kent. He is also survived by Colleen’s family, Joe and Peggy Crowley, Peggy and Bud Hills, Mike Crowley and Kevin and Ginger Crowley. There are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as many incredible friends.
   A celebration of Caesar’s life was held May 10 at the family home, 2501 Cottonwood Creek Road, Chewelah.
