On August 19 at the intersection of Pine Bluff Road and Highway 395, just a couple miles out of Kettle Falls, a large tree fell across the highway just as a pickup and 5th wheel trailer were passing.  The vehicle was just seconds from be¬ing crushed, and without time to stop, drove into the fallen tree.  There was some damage to the pickup and trailer, but no injuries.  Photo courtesy of Dani Bull.
