Warren Fackenthall

Warren W. Fackenthall, a resident of Hunters, passed away on May 31, 2011 in Hunters at the age of 71. He was born on July 26, 1939 in Spokane, the son of Sydney Wilson and Loretta Fackenthall.Warren was raised in the Blue Creek area near Chewelah. Warren attended school in Chewelah and graduated from Jenkins High School in 1958. He had moved to Seattle, where he worked in the construction industry. While there, he met the love of his life, Joan Timmerman, and after a brief courtship, they were married on May 26, 1962 in Seattle. Warren worked in construction hanging drywall, drove semi-trucks and worked as a tour guide. He moved to Hunters where he farmed on his brother-in-law Ralph’s land and drove log truck. After retiring, he drove school bus for the Hunters School District. Warren loved to hunt when he was younger. He grew to love computers as he got older, learning how to fix and build them for himself and family. Family was the most important thing to Warren, and he never got tired of big family gatherings.Warren was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Fackenthall. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan Fackenthall of Hunters; his daughters, Betty Rathbun and husband Troy, Orient; and Ann McCrea and husband Mark, Davenport; his grandchildren, Shandi Rathbun, Skyla Rathbun, Bryanna McCrea, Kyle McCrea and Mitchell McCrea, and his great-grandchildren, Ladamien Reevis and Malakai Reevis.The funeral mass for Warren Fackenthall was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 8 at Our Lady of the Lourdes (Rock Church) at West End.
