July 27 & 28: Scenic Excursion Train Rides with the North Pend Oreille Valley Lions Club at Ione for 90 minutes to Metaline Falls and back. In conjunction with the âDown River Days Festivalâ in Ione with music, crafts, beer garden and of course snowmobile races across Lake Pend Oreille, you can ride the rails like in the olden days. Trains depart on Saturday at 1 pm & 3 pm and on Sunday at 11 am & 1 pm. Reservations are highly recommended at 877-525-5226 or www.lionstrainrides.com. The Train also runs Labor Day Weekend and all four weekends in October to see the colors of the trees.

Entry Fee: $75 donation to cover materials and plans. Meet the week before to precut materials. Each team will assemble on picnic table on site. August 6: The Doctors' Concert 2013 is being held on August 6, 2013 at 6 pm at the Rotary Pavilion in the Colville City Park. Admission is free. A collection will be taken for TCCHF, the community fund to help people without health insurance in northeastern Washington.
