Wyatt Goldsmith

Army Sgt. 1st Class Wyatt A. Goldsmith, a resident of Colville, passed away at Camp Bastion Hospital, Afghanistan, on July 15, 2011 while serving his country as a Special Force combat medic in the Helmand province of Afghanistan. Wyatt was born on Sept. 21, 1982 in Redmond, the son of John W. and Lorie L. (Torgerson) Goldsmith.
Wyatt began grade school in Kirkland and in 1994 began sixth grade in Colville, following the move of his family. He was a 2001 graduate of Colville High School. Wyatt entered the U.S. Army in June of 2004 as a Special Forces recruit. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group from Joint Base Lewis-McCord and was serving his third deployment.
Wyatt is survived by his, parents, John and Lorie Goldsmith, Colville; and by his sister, Nicole Goldsmith, Seattle.
The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colville. Graveside service will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Colville.
