Brandon was born in Bellingham on April 3, 1986. He has lived just north of Northport since the spring of 1998.
Brandon fought Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy all of his 25-years, and on May 13, 2011, he moved into the final level of life while the cherry blossoms bloomed and with his parents at his side. Brandon had expressed to family members that he had trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior.
Brandon had never met a video game he could not beat. He had the brightest eyes, the greatest smile, and the best sense of humor possible. He taught his family the true meaning of love, loyalty, compassion, sincerity, forgiveness and above all "Honor." This is why we so deeply miss him.
In his final days, Brandon was more worried about his family than he was about himself. His motto was, "The heaviest thing that anyone can ever carry, is a grudge.” He loved his family, living within the mountains, seeing the wildlife in his yard, his dogs Shotgun and Blue, and his cats too.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John and Bessie Bumgarner and his maternal grandfather Gunnery Sergeant Angel Escalante, USMC (retired).
He is survived by his dad, James H. Garner, of Colville; his mom, Barbara Escalante, and his brother, Austin Diego Escalante Garner, both of Northport; and his maternal grandmother Dora Escalante of Schertz, Texas.
Brandon had so many uncles, aunts, and cousins, both in Washington and in Texas, it would be impossible to print all their names here.
Brandon, we miss you so much already and look forward to seeing your big, bright eyes and your beautiful smile again.
Brandon, "I'll see you later" once we are reunited again. I love you with all my heart and soul. I know, you know. So have fun playing with the kids, and live in bliss, for I know your suffering no longer exists. We had our time, though however brief, now its your time to be at peace. Love ya, My Big Bro!
