Jack E. Wang cane into this world weighing 3 1/3 pounds on August 5, 1936, the son of E.G. (Joe0 Wang and Vera (Clarke) Wang of Chewelah. He passed on April 8, 2014 at his home.
Jack graduated from Jenkins High School in Chewelah with the class of 1954.
He entered the United States Army in October 1954 and served in Korea from January 1955 to June 1956. He finished his last 16 months of service at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
He married Ellen Fuller on October 25, 1958.
Jack worked at Deer Park Pine, NANOME at Valley, Pend Oreille Mine at Metaline Falls, and ended his working career with 35 plus years at Boise Cascade Plywood at Kettle Falls as a heavy equipment operator. He retired in October 2001.
Jack was a hard-working man who also loved a good water fight, reading Louis L’Amour books, watching John Wayne movies and anything Elvis. He was very involved in fund-raising for Relay for Life for several years and was one of the top three money-raisers each year many times.
Jack is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Ellen; daughters, Sandy (Gary) Bolt, Teresa Paquette, both of Colville; Annie Ford, Moses Lake; granddaughter/daughter, Jamie (Kaleb) Twilligear, Fayetteville, NC; grandsons, Matt Schoessler, Spokane; Logan (Jenny) Schoessler, Airway Heights; Skieler Ford, Mississippi, and Darin Bolt, Colville; granddaughters, Gillian and Alexis Bolt, Colville; Daylee, Anndee and Lilee Ford, Moses Lake; great-grandson, Malachi; great-granddaughters, Tykie and River, Fayetteville, NC; sisters, Verene (Joey)Smith, Chewelah; Susan (Walt) Beck, Chattaroy; his aunt, Ragna Wang, Oslo, Norway; sister-in-law, Sandy Wang, Chewelah, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Larry and Jerry Wang, and Tony Trampus, and by a sister, JoyAnn Trapp.
Memorial service will be May 3 at 1 p.m. at American Legion Post no. 47(103 E. 6th Ave., Colville). A potluck will follow.
