Meet will be in
Tacoma this week

The Great Northern League had little trouble pushing through its athletes at the so-called “Glue In” sub-regional meet with the Central Washington Athletic Conference (Districts 5-6-7) last Friday at Prosser High School.
A top four finish qualified GNL/CWAC athletes for the State 2A meet May 23-25 at Mt. Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
Of the 35 events run, the GNL was able to get two athletes or relay teams through to State in all but six events.

Bulldogs lose
a pair of games

Kettle Falls saw its 2013 fast-pitch softball season come to an end Saturday at Brewster in the Class 1A sub-regional (Bi-District).
The Lady Bulldogs, who finished second to Northeast A League champion Lakeside in the District 7 1A Tournament at Nine Mile Falls one week earlier, simply couldn’t get much going Saturday against either host Brewster of the CTL or Lakeside.
In their opener against BHS, Kettle Falls managed only three hits in a 7-2 loss. Hitting safely for KFHS were pitcher Krislin McInelly (double), Kelsey Eslick and Lauren Moak.
