The Jenkins High boy’s basketball team returned from their Christmas break and picked up the team’s first win of the season against Reardan. The win earned the Cougars third place in the Reardan Christmas Tournament.
The shorthanded Cougars opened the week with losses to Springdale and Davenport. The win over Reardan will hopefully turn the second half around for JHS.
“It’s nice to finally get a W,” said head coach Jason Norman
This week the Cougars (1-8, 0-3) return to Northeast A play. On Tuesday, JHS travels to Deer Park (3-6, 2-1). Chewelah hosts Riverside (0-8, 0-3) on Friday. Both games tip off at 5:45 p.m.
