Walk-off homers, star-studded pitching define Indians dominant “Spring Break”

Spring Break was no vacation for opponents of the Colville Indians Varsity Fastpitch squad. Coach Maria-Swinger-Inskeep’s charges feasted on league competition en route to an undefeated 4-0 week.
The Indians treated fans to an exciting week of action, providing a little something for everybody.
For fans who prefer offensive action, the Indians produced two 8-7 slugfests.
Those seeking high-stakes drama and star-turn performances enjoyed two game-winning home runs, from two of the league’s most productive players.
For the purists who prefer mound artistry? Two tautly-contested pitching duels featuring the league’s best hurlers.
Colville’s undefeated week featured all of the above and more, as the Indians swept two doubleheaders and found themselves within percentage points of first place at week’s end.

Colville’s schedule congestion picks up the week of April 10, with games every day Monday through Thursday: home against Kettle Falls (make-up, varsity only) Monday, Tuesday - home against Newport, Wednesday - at Chewelah (make-up), and Thursday at Deer Park.  JV will play Friday home against Kettle Falls.
