Colville wins FFA State Championship

Colville High School’s FFA team won the Washington State Forestry Contest that took place in Chewelah last Friday. According to FFA teacher Ivy Nelson, their team scored 2,501.4. “I was proud of the kids, it took the whole team to score that high,” said Nelson. Senior Shane Merrill took first place individually. Team members Merrill, Chance Lafley, Megan Nelson, Paul Shevchenko and Terren Pitts all qualified for nationals with Pitts as the alternate.
