Trailing by a point with 14 seconds remaining, Colville (6-13, 4-9) point guard Baylee Main pushed the ball up the floor and into the key, where she made a wrap-around pass to teammate Kennedy Zema, whose jumper missed the mark. But CHS post Josie Cox grabbed the offensive rebound and hit a put-back banker to give the Indians a dramatic 48-47 win over Riverside (7-10, 6-7).
Colville is in a tenuous position with the District 7 1A Tournament starting this weekend. The Indians visit league champion Lakeside (12-1, 16-3) on Tuesday in their finale Northeast A League game of the season. CHS is tied with Medical Lake (4-9, 5-14) for sixth place.
