Fox will lead Indians -- again

There is no reason to believe that Colville won’t be in the mix for another Northeast A League girl’s tennis title this spring. After all, CHS returns the league’s best player in senior Darby Fox and a solid supporting cast.
The Indians of coach Phil Johnson were co-champions in the NEA last spring with Lakeside. Fox was the league’s MVP, won a regional singles crown and finished fourth at the State tournament (Yakima Tennis Center) in 1A singles.
“I think we will be competitive once again,” Johnson said last week. “We have 33 players and several returning varsity players.”
