Kettle Falls will
host Chargers

Kettle Falls High (0-2) saw a spirited comeback fall short last Friday night in a Northeast 2B football game at Davenport (2-0). The Gorillas, after building a 20-0 halftime lead, were able to hold on for a 34-20 win.
After trimming Davenport’s lead to 28-20 late in the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs got another chance when their defense held on a fourth down play at the KFHS 25-yard-line. But the Bulldogs went four and out and the Gorillas scored a meaningless touchdown with 17 seconds left in the game to push the final margin to two touchdowns.
Kettle Falls will host Springdale (0-2), a 42-6 loser to Northwest Christian (2-0) last Friday.
Game time at KFHS is 7 p.m.
“We hope to have gained some momentum for our game with Springdale,” Finley said. “I think we will be very competitive against them. Springdale is struggling too. I think they only have 21 kids out.”
