Kettle Falls sends three runners to State

Kettle Falls High School is sending three runners to State after completing in the 1B/2B regionals last Saturday in Colfax.

Only the top four schools qualify for State and only the top 28 individuates in both boys and girls.

Freshmen Easton Pomrankey came in 8th place in the boys 5k meter race with a time of 16:48.09. Senior Jake Kenney ran a time of 17:11.65, securing the 22nd place.

Qualifying for State in the girls race was sophomore Zarah Johnson, coming in 12th place with a time of 21:17.46.

These three runners will head to Pasco to complete in the 1B/2B WIAA State Cross-Country Meet on Saturday, Nov. 4.
