Lady Bulldog stretch win streak to 10

Kettle Falls (12-4) continues to roll through the back half of its Northeast 2B softball schedule. Their Lady Bulldogs extended its winning streak to 10 games last week with doubleheader sweeps of Davenport and Liberty.
During that 10-game run of wins, KFHS has outscored its opposition 136-27.
On April 19, the Lady Bulldogs hosted dangerous Davenport in the final league home games of the regular season (KFHS will host a District playoff game).
Kettle Falls travels to Springdale for a key doubleheader on Tuesday (2 p.m. start) with a team that, in many respects, mirrors the Lady Bulldogs. Both clubs have identical records and both have lost to the NE 2B’s top two—Northwest Christian and Colfax.
“When you look at the stats, we are about as equal as you could possibly be,” Glover said. “I think that as long as we pitch well and play solid defense, we should be okay.
“I know that Springdale hits the ball very well. I expect a full seven-innings and close scores.”
Unless Kettle Falls can get some unlikely help from Davenport against Colfax this week, it looks like the Lady Bulldogs will finish either third or fourth in the NE 2B race.
That finish will allow KFHS to host a first round District 7 2B playoff game before the remainder of the tournament moves to Merkel Complex in Spokane (adjacent to Joe Albi Stadium).
